A major tourist attraction and boon to the city of Kakinada, the Uppada Beach area lays a short 5km bus ride away from the town center. Visitors will be impressed by its white rolling sands, gently sloping shore and clear, clean waters. Behind the beach is a well-kept park which can provide a great spot to enjoy a picnic.

Uppada village is a weaving center which is worth a wander round. The locals also ply the estuary for fresh fish which are for sale as snacks in some of the shops.
